Deye hybrid inverter: what to consider

A hybrid inverter ties together the grid, a battery and solar panels: it charges the battery while there is power, switches the house to it during an outage and gives solar priority in the daytime. The catalog has single- and three-phase Deye inverters from 5 to 80 kW.

Low-voltage or high-voltage

Models marked LP (for example SUN-5K-SG05LP1-EU) are low-voltage and run on a 48 V battery. This is the most common choice for a house: 48 V batteries are more affordable and easier to maintain. HP3 models are high-voltage three-phase units with batteries of several hundred volts, used in large houses and commercial buildings.

How much power you need

Add up the appliances that will run at the same time and allow 20–30% headroom. A flat needs 3–5 kW, a house with a boiler, pump and water heater 8–12 kW, and a three-phase supply a three-phase inverter from 10 kW. The backup time calculator helps you estimate the load, and our ready-made backup systems already include a compatible battery.

Inverter prices follow the exchange rate, so most models show “price on request”: leave your phone number on the product page and we will call back with the current price and lead time.

FAQ

What does a hybrid inverter need to work?

A battery of the right voltage (48 V for LP models), cables with circuit breakers and, for solar, panels. The inverter sits between the incoming supply and the house switchboard, so have an electrician connect it.

How is a hybrid inverter different from a regular one?

A regular inverter only turns the battery’s DC into 230 V. A hybrid one also charges the battery from the grid and solar panels, manages source priorities and switches over automatically during an outage.

Single-phase or three-phase inverter?

It depends on your supply. With a single-phase supply, take a single-phase inverter. On a three-phase supply a three-phase inverter powers all three phases and three-phase pumps, while a single-phase unit covers only one group of circuits.

Which battery works with a Deye inverter?

LP low-voltage models take a 48–51.2 V LiFePO4 battery, ideally a Deye one or a pack whose BMS speaks the inverter protocol. High-voltage HP3 models need high-voltage battery modules.
