How to choose a home power station

A Queen Energy power station is a LiFePO4 battery and a hybrid inverter in one case. We build each one to order in Kyiv: 3 to 12 kWh with a 3–6 kW inverter. It runs a fridge, gas boiler, router, lights and laptops, and when the grid comes back it recharges itself from the mains or solar panels.

How long will a power station last

Divide the usable capacity by the average load. A 5000 Wh station delivers about 4000 Wh once inverter efficiency and depth of discharge are taken into account. A fridge, router and lights draw 150–200 W on average together, so that is 20–26 hours. Our backup time calculator gives a precise figure for your appliances, and we explain fridge maths in a separate article.

What to check before you buy

Capacity in Wh tells you how many hours you can go without the grid. Inverter power tells you what can run at the same time: a pump, a water heater, a microwave. LiFePO4 chemistry survives thousands of cycles and copes with daily discharges, which is why we recommend it for scheduled outages (see LiFePO4 vs Li-ion). To back up the whole house through the switchboard, look at our ready-made systems with a Deye inverter.

Collect your station at 31B Heroiv Dnipra St (Obolon, Kyiv) or have it shipped anywhere in Ukraine by Nova Poshta once stock is confirmed.

FAQ

How many hours will a 5 kWh power station run?

About 4 kWh reaches your appliances. At a 200 W load (fridge, router, lights) that is roughly 20 hours; at 500 W, about 8 hours. The backup time calculator on our site gives an exact figure for your appliances.

Can I charge the power station from solar panels?

Yes. Stations with a hybrid inverter have a built-in solar charge controller (MPPT), so panels connect directly. The maximum panel power depends on the model; our consultant will tell you.

How is a power station different from a UPS?

A UPS with lead-acid batteries is designed for minutes of runtime; a LiFePO4 station gives hours and thousands of cycles. During an outage it switches your appliances to the battery automatically and recharges itself when power returns.

How long does a built-to-order station take?

We confirm the build time when we confirm your order; it depends on the capacity and on cell availability. Stations that are ready can be collected in Kyiv or shipped by Nova Poshta.
